Digital Artist Commissions
The Box is inviting artists to create a contemporary digital response to three different areas of its collections.
The three areas are:
1. Devonport 200 - the bicentenary of Devonport in early 2024
2. Planet Ocean - an exhibition and engagement programme that will take place throughout 2024
3. Re-Imagining the Film Archive - a BFI-funded project that is exploring diverse narratives within our moving image archive
The three commissions will help us shape the narrative around our collections, stories and objects, and will be displayed in The Box in 2024.
They are supported by Arts Council England, with additional support from Plymouth City Council, the British Film Institute (BFI) and Real Ideas Organisation.
