China comes to Wells 2 – Open Call
China comes to Wells 2 is seeking a creative practitioner to be part of the project!
The appointed artist will have the vision, creativity, skills and experience to successfully complete a residency at the Wells & Mendip museum inspired by their collection of excavated ceramics that is the focus of the project. They will be revealing links, inspiring creativity, creating new artwork and facilitating four workshops inspired by the ceramics collection.
The artist’s commission brief is a balance between the making of new work for public presentation and engagement with the local community through participatory activity.
The total value of the commission is £6450 inclusive of VAT.

Interviews of shortlisted candidates will be held on Thursday afternoon 8th June and Friday morning 9th June with an option for Zoom or in person.
