Apply to join the RWA as an Academician

Applications are open for artists and architects to join our membership as RWA Academicians.

As a Royal Academy of Art, the RWA has professional artists at its heart, with a membership of up to 150 Academicians who are elected by their peers.

Who Should Apply?

Under the leadership of President Hamish Young PRWA, we are seeking practicing artists and architects who demonstrate:

▪A proven track record of exhibitions and professional practice
▪ A body of work judged to be of a consistently high standard
▪ A willingness to contribute to the life of the Academy

The Selection Committee

Applications will be reviewed by a panel including:

▪ Hamish Young PRWA MRSS (President)
▪Angela Lizon VPRWA (Vice President)
▪Academician Members: Anna Gillespie, Karl Singporewala RIBA RWA , Lidija Antanasijevic, Barry Cawston, and Bina Shah
