Artist Residency: Bonnington Walk, Bristol
Artist residency to connect new and existing communities at Bonnington Walk, Lockleaze, through creative engagement.
Ginkgo Projects seeks an artist, artist group, maker, or craftsperson for a residency at Bonnington Walk, a new residential development in Lockleaze, Bristol. Commissioned by Legal & General Modular Homes and developed in partnership with Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust, this residency aims to connect new and existing communities through creative engagement.
The project will focus on sustainability, nature, crafts, and community-led creative practices, embedding artistic activity into the development’s new community spaces, including a garden, orchard hub, and shared green areas.
Artists will have the opportunity to develop one or more of the following project strands:
Wellbeing through nature connection
Makers and craftivists
Community enterprise and activation
The residency is expected to result in a mix of temporary and permanent artistic interventions, alongside participatory and process-led activities that foster a vibrant, connected community.
Deadline for expressions of interest: 5pm, Friday 21st March 2025
