Artist Commission: Moon Street, Bristol

This research and concept design development brief is for an artist commission for a major new student accommodation development at Moon Street, Bristol. Ginkgo has developed the public art strategy for the development and has identified a prominent opportunity for an artist to work with the client and design team to create a sense of arrival and identity within the main entrance courtyard.
This opportunity will suit a Bristol or South West-based artist, artist group, or designer maker with experience of working within the public realm who wishes to create work of visual impact that will contribute to this vibrant area of the city.
Subject to approval by the client and Bristol City Council, it is expected that the selected artist will subsequently be commissioned to continue to deliver their proposals for early Summer 2025.
This commission is for concept design (ÂŁ2,500 ex vat) subject to approval, to progress to full delivery. (circa ÂŁ38,500 ex vat).
