Artist Call Out
Call out for a socially engaged maker / creative facilitator with experience of leading creative workshops.
We are looking for a leatherworker to plan and facilitate a series of creative craft workshops for a group experiencing homelessness or who are at risk of homelessness.
These creative workshops will respond to an exhibition opening at New Brewery Arts called Shoes Have Names, a collaboration between designers and the charity Shelter. The exhibition shows a collection of handmade artworks inspired by real people facing homelessness. The workshops may take on aspects of the exhibition, such as shoe making, with the aim to amplify voices of those impacted by the housing crisis, but we want to hear your ideas.
Workshops to be delivered February - April 2022 at New Brewery Arts, Cirencester
We actively encourage you to apply if your background or lived experience are underrepresented in the craft sector.
HOW TO APPLY:
Please send your expression of interest (no more than 2 sides of A4) explaining how you envisage the workshops, your ideas and proposed approach. As well as your CV or portfolio with examples of previous work to miranda@newbreweryarts.org.uk
