Art and Exhibitions Curator
We are looking for a curator to project manage the curation of artworks and exhibitions for Eden Project Cornwall.
The post-holder should be experienced in curating visual and digital works from new, emerging and established artists and designers (local, national and international). They will be responsible for developing and delivering an innovative and diverse programme of commissions, consignments and exhibitions at Eden Project Cornwall which link to the contemporary narratives that underpin Eden's mission. To achieve this, they will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and with a range of partner organisations. Experience in all aspects of curatorial project management and exhibition design including programming, budget, people and time management is essential. Experience of producing detailed exhibition plans is desirable.
The postholder will require a knowledge of local, national and international art networks and will need an understanding of the criteria associated with Arts Council funding and that of other grant funders. They will help to develop funding bids and Eden’s arts and culture strategy. For this role, the post holder will need to be a quick thinker, adaptable, patient and calm under pressure. An enthusiasm for outdoor, sculptural and digital art and working outside the gallery environment would be an advantage.
