CAS is a socially-engaged, contemporary visual arts organisation. In all we do, we endeavour to challenge, inspire, engage, collaborate and include.
We exist to support artists and the creative ecology in North Hampshire which we do through creative education for young people and art experiences and opportunities that benefit artists and local communities alike.
We are an artist-led organisation which has developed a distinctive approach that prioritises partnership, collaboration, and sharing of resources and intelligence. Our main activities since becoming a new National Portfolio Organisation for Arts Council England include developing our CAS:AIR Artist In Residence programme, and promoting creative enquiry through our community and education programs. We have a small venue, and a changeable events list comprising of exhibitions, shows, talks and workshops.
