Ilminster Arts Centre
We are a charity and multi-arts venue. Our mission is to bring amazing art, live music and creative workshops to the South West.
Based in the heart of town, Ilminster Arts Centre runs a year round programme of highly acclaimed art exhibitions and concerts (jazz, classical, folk and world music), plus a host of art and craft workshops and other events.
Ilminster Arts Centre is a thriving, volunteer-led community asset dedicated to bringing top quality arts to Ilminster and the surrounding area.
We are based in a beautiful 18th-century former Unitarian church and every year welcome some 30,000 visitors through our doors.
The Arts Centre hosts a regularly changing programme of exhibitions throughout the year, showcasing work by well-known local artists as well as those from further afield.
Ilminster Arts Centre also runs an eclectic programme of top quality jazz (some of the best names in UK and international jazz come to play here), classical, folk and world music.
The Arts Centre runs a busy programme of hands-on workshops, led by expert teachers, with popular classes including watercolours, oil painting, slow stitch, clay sculpture, stained glass, pastel pencils, children's art workshops.
Our Craft Shop sells a carefully curated selection of work by local makers, along with greetings cards by West Country artists. Our award-winning café is licensed, and serves delicious home-cooked daily specials, sandwiches and paninis. Ingredients are sourced from local suppliers wherever possible, and our teas and coffees are Fairtrade.
