TAAG Gallery & Arts Centre

TAAG was established in 2010 and operated for 10 years in a former garage leased from the council. Following lockdown, and after being purchased for the local community, and substantial refurbishment, we reopened in July 2023. The ground floor houses a modern and flexible gallery & workshop space which hosts weekly exhibitions by professional and amateur artists, workshops and other events. - TAAG is used by over 30 organisations for activities which include: exhibitions, art & craft workshops, poetry events, carers’ & wellbeing workshops, multicultural festivals, Devon Open Studios, TRAIL recycled art, language classes, book clubs, and more. - The roof of the TAAG building was replaced in 2023-24, and a new workshop and artist studios were constructed on the upper floors early in 2026. Finishing of the upper floors is continuing, as funding & donations allow. - To find out about current and upcoming exhibitions check out our newsletter and web page: www.teignmoutharts.org - TAAG is normally open throughout the year, apart from Xmas Day. On changeover days (Fridays usually) we close at 3pm and occasionally there is a setup day between exhibitions. - TAAG is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CC reg no 1188013).
