Watershed produces accessible and inclusive cultural experiences which fire up the imagination and bring people together.
Watershed produces accessible and inclusive cultural experiences which fire up the imagination and bring people together. We are a registered charity and cultural organisation based in Bristol, UK. In a world facing profound change, we believe in the power of coming together: to share, disagree, love and change. We foreground the power of art to spark conversations and direct technology towards a more playful, inclusive and sustainable future. We enable togetherness through:
- Our cultural cinema programme which engages audiences with global stories to transport, transform and entertain.
- The Pervasive Media Studio which supports both individual creativity and the collaborative reinvention of the future. Free space, producer support and shared knowledge enables people to try out art and creative technology ideas in a way they couldn’t on their own.
- Our Film Hub & Studio programmes which introduce new voices at all career stages. We support the next generation by bringing them into our creative communities in film and creative tech.
- Our Café & Bar drawing people from Bristol and the wider region to meet.
Our work is locally rooted in Bristol and internationally connected. Our international programmes welcome creative practitioners all over the world to be involved.
