Bridgwater Arts Centre is the UK's oldest Arts Council funded arts centre, located in the heart of Bridgwater, Somerset. Established in 1946, the centre has been a vibrant hub for creativity, culture and community engagement for nearly 80 years. We present a diverse programme of live music, theatre, film, comedy, exhibitions, workshops, classes and community activities, providing opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy, create and participate in the arts. Our historic venue offers welcoming spaces for professional artists, local groups and community organisations, fostering creativity and cultural connection across the region. Our ground floor gallery hosts a diverse programme of monthly exhibitions, while the first floor offers affordable studio and workshop spaces for artists. Through our programme and partnerships, we are committed to making arts and culture accessible, inspiring and inclusive for everyone.
