Keep ART It is a creative agency and social enterprise dedicated to using art as a powerful tool for connection, communication, and community growth. Founded by artist and facilitator Douglas A. Karson during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Keep ART It was born from a deep belief that creativity can be a lifeline—not just for artists, but for everyone. At its core, Keep ART It is about making the world better through art. We do this by designing and delivering accessible, joyful, and transformative creative experiences that engage people of all ages and backgrounds. Our work spans live art events, team-building workshops, facilitation programmes, bespoke commissions, and community murals—each project tailored to bring people together, spark conversation, and inspire lasting impact. Our flagship offerings include the Creative Communication Method—a series of structured workshops that use collaborative art-making as a way to strengthen team cohesion and interpersonal dynamics—and Spray Jams, vibrant, open-access street art events that bring colour, energy, and inclusivity to public spaces. Whether hosted in schools, offices, festivals, or urban settings, our events create space for play, expression, and togetherness. Unlike traditional art organisations, Keep ART It works across sectors: arts, education, corporate, and community. We collaborate with councils, universities, small businesses, and large organisations alike. We are based in Bournemouth, UK, and deliver projects across the South West and beyond. Our founder, Douglas A. Karson, brings over 15 years of experience in artistic leadership, facilitation, and storytelling, and his personal practice—spanning painting, poetry, sculpture, and teaching—deeply informs the tone and values of the organisation.
