Opened in 1905, Bristol Museum & Art Gallery houses the city’s world class collections, from dinosaurs and diamonds to magnificent fine art and Egyptian mummies. Twenty galleries and a changing programme of blockbuster exhibitions tell the story of the world from the beginning of time to the present day. Such is the importance of the collections that a number have ‘Designated’ or outstanding status awarded by the Government, including geology, Eastern art, Bristol history and English delftware.
