Creative Island

Our mission is to ensure that everyone on the Island - across all ages, backgrounds and communities, has the chance to participate in, enjoy and shape creative and cultural life. We deliver the Island’s ten-year Cultural Strategy ‘All The Wonder’ on behalf of the IW Council, working across 9 towns and 33 parishes to strengthen culture, education, heritage, wellbeing and community connection. Our work includes: • Leading the IW Cultural Education Partnership, supporting children and young people in 55 educational settings. • Running the IW Creative Network, supporting over 230 creatives and small businesses with training, mentoring and professional development. • Supporting the Island’s voluntary arts and heritage sectors through capacity-building programmes, grants, training and community-led activity. • Convening partnerships across community groups, youth groups, charities, and cultural organisations. Our work directly benefits thousands of residents each year and aims to build a more confident, connected, and culturally vibrant Isle of Wight for the long term.
