Poole Museum
Poole Museum is an outstanding museum, gallery and cultural centre
Poole Museum is undergoing a £10.3million redevelopment, supported by funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, which includes the conservation, restoration and remodelling of all three of the museum's listed buildings.
The museum is opening in summer 2025, and visitors will be able to explore the story of a town and a people shaped by the sea.
Across six galleries, five floors, and our house and gardens, we tell Poole’s story through art, unique exhibits, and interactive experiences.
Discover our collections where you’ll see shipwrecks and giant walrus tusks and hear our myths and legends, our triumphs and tragedies. You’ll feel the sea's awesome power and how it has shaped this place.
Poole Museum is always changing, with vibrant community spaces for pop-up events, guest exhibits, and a beautiful cafe where you can spend time together in a unique building steeped in our local history.
Step out of the every day to relax, come together or be inspired. Poole Museum is here for you.
