Poolnet

Poolnet is an online, accessible art collective for disabled and chronically-ill artists.

Poolnet is an online, accessible art collective for disabled and chronically-ill artists, including but not limited to the self-diagnosed, invisible, neurodivergent, d/Deaf or those with long term physical or mental health conditions.

Together, we are creating a vital space where all disabled artists feel empowered and safe to explore their practice in a sustainable way. Poolnet aims to nurture a supportive community, build lasting networks, share opportunities and work through accessibility in the arts together.
There is strength in resilience, in rest, in rehabilitation, there’s strength in pauses and altering priorities. There is strength in the ‘real’, the lived experiences of disabled folks.

As of October, we hold 2 sessions a month (Launch Pads & Group Crits) with the opportunity to request Body Doubling sessions on an ad hoc basis. We are intending on adding more sessions in 2025, with things like artist talks, seminars and group learning discussions.
Our schedule is currently as follows:
Launch pads - first Saturday of each month
Group Crits - last Monday of each month

Poolnet is co-founded and managed by Vesper Cain and Ellie Morris.
We are currently not funded.
