William Bocchinelli

I'm Will, a creative developer and digital designer, and the founder of bocc.dev.

I was a partner and director at Intercity, a design agency whose clients included Nike and Tate, and spent nine years there as a director working across brand, print and web. I learnt to code on the job, found Craft CMS in 2014 and never really put it down. In 2021 I stepped back from the agency and went independent as bocc.dev, to focus on the work I love most: taking ambitious designs (an agency's or my own) and building them properly.

Some recent work:

Three Degrees. A single page that behaves like a title sequence. Scroll-scrubbed hero video, pinned typography, and every beat of the choreography editable in the CMS. Kick-off to launch in under three weeks.

The Founder Office Blueprint. An interactive hexagonal map of TSUGU's business framework, which we later grew into a full self-assessment platform with accounts, SSO and shareable scores.

The House Group. An estate agency site that keeps itself up to date, syncing listings straight from the Reapit CRM. I designed this one as well as built it.

Holden House. A cinematic single-pager for a Derwent London building, shipped as pure static Astro. Fast, elegant and about as light as a property site can be.

And currently in the studio: a ground-up rebuild for Handsome Frank, one of the world's best-known illustration agencies, and Dough, a worker onboarding app. Both launching soon.

A few things run through everything I make:

Motion with a backbone. Animation is choreographed in GSAP and Motion, but the pacing, copy and sequencing live in the CMS, so clients can re-cut the film without a developer.

Performance is the brief. I write 90+ Lighthouse scores and around 0.6g of CO2 per visit into my proposals, and several of my builds have been featured on lowwwcarbon.com. Lighter sites rank better, convert better and cost the planet less.

Built to be found. Server-rendered HTML, structured data, redirects that protect search equity, and content structured so AI assistants recommend my clients too.

Over ten years with Craft CMS. Also Shopify, Astro and Laravel, and I'm as comfortable in Figma as I am in VS Code.

If you're an agency that needs a build partner, or a brand that wants a bit of craft in its website, I'd love to hear from you: [email protected]
