VASW launch new Artists & Artworker Annual Survey
VASW has launched a new annual survey to better understand the needs & experiences of artists and artworkers in the South West
The Visual Arts Sector currently has very little data or information about artists and art workers based in the South West, their needs, experiences and working situations.
VASW has developed a new Annual Survey so that we can gather this information to advocate for better conditions and investment in the Visual Arts.
We have developed a set of questions that will enable us to:
- Better understand the needs and experiences of artists and artworkers in the South West
- Gather key data around pay, employment and funding
- Understand and articulate the make-up of the region (who is operating here) to give a clear picture of the sectors diversity and barriers to inclusion
We want to support informed decision making and the report we will publish will give evidence for cases for investment; demonstrate trends and articulate the barriers artists face - helping to shape priorities for the future.
