Open call for short films on the theme of Dissent: Inside/Outside

[email protected]

Deadline Monday 30 September 2019

Fee Unpaid

CAS is looking for short films, (under 10mins) to be displayed on a very large screen at Winchester School of Art as part of the second Laboratory of Dissent 2: Inside/Outside exhibition and symposium in Nov/Dec 2019. The theme can be interpreted in a number of ways but the screen will be visible from the street so films need to be video only (no sound)

We currently live in an increasingly polarised society where for many reasons you can find yourself either ‘inside’ or ‘outside’. Divisions exist politically environmentally, ideologically, economically and socially. At the same time our understanding of our own identity is changing, lines are blurring between an on and offline world, social media adds a further dimension of inclusion or exclusion.

Selected films will be shown on a continuous loop during the 5 weeks of the Laboratory of Dissent 2019.
