Vicky Lindo Ceramics is the creative partnership of Vicky Lindo and William Brookes. They produce highly decorative earthenware ceramics inspired by Bideford’s slipware pottery heritage, heroic animals and interesting stories and quotes, they are often eccentric but always full of warmth and humour. They have been working on a collection for The Burton which takes inspiration from Bideford and the RJ Lloyd slipware collection which is on display at The Burton. Other treasures from Bideford’s history will be featured including the Kathleen and May, Bideford Zoo and Bideford’s little known Rabbit Club. The Burton showcases craft exhibitions throughout the year introducing new and emerging talent as well as giving visitors to the gallery an opportunity to experience already established artists. Vicky Lindo Ceramics will be showcased and available to buy at The Burton Craft Gallery until 30th April.
