Jenny Graham's stylised approach to landscape is easy to recognise in any exhibition. Calmly evoking the countryside of the southwest they seem to surround the viewer with a sense of place and atmosphere. She is not one for blue skies or pretty cottages, but seeks out the flashes of light on the fields which illuminate the landscape out of cloudy skies. By contrast, her photo-etchings of birds, flowers and trees explore the graphic qualities of nature: the fine lines of branches or the intricacy of cow parsley flowers and bird feathers. Her work is widely collected and included in many prestigious regional exhibitions, including the RWA in Bristol. This year she was also chosen as an invited artist at the Royal Bath and West Show painting exhibition. She exhibits her work in galleries through the region and is a member of Somerset Printmakers and Fingerprint.
