Friday 29 April 2016 – Wednesday 11 May 2016
Opening Hours: 10.30am-4.30pm

Timed to coincide with Lyme’s popular Fossil Festival, this exhibition accompanies the release of Lisa Woollett’s unusual new book, Sea Journal, part of which is set in Lyme Regis, fossiling along its beaches and looking at the natural history, geology and mythology of that stretch of Dorset-Devon coast.  It will include the author’s striking contemporary photography and a collection of the finds and curiosities that inspired the book: from mermaid’s purses and washed-up Lego dragons to hag stones and by-the-wind sailors. At 3pm on Saturday 30 April, Lisa will be giving an illustrated talk in the Community Room about the making of her books.
