Join us for a day-long gardening workshop with Noel Kingsbury, landscape architect, lecturer and co-author of four publications with Piet Oudolf.

Kingsbury will educate guests on the longevity of the plants Oudolf uses within his celebrated designs, as well as the vast plant selection and distribution. Participants will have exclusive access to plans and planting lists, and will be involved in an open discussion of the characteristics of the plants and grasses used. The workshop intends to inspire gardeners, designers and the green-fingered to develop their own palettes, combinations and understanding of planting design.

Piet Oudolf’s knowledge of plants and expertise in horticulture is on vivid display in the three gardens that are continually evolving at Hauser & Wirth Somerset. Having worked closely throughout their horticultural careers, Noel Kingsbury is able to lead us through a journey of Oudolf’s unique approach to planting design, with a focus on the site here at Durslade Farm.

Noel Kingsbury is best known for his promotion of what is broadly called an ecological or naturalistic approach to planting design. Kingsbury has been actively involved in the promotion of quality public planting for many years, having worked as a design consultant on projects with Bristol City Council and private gardens. His consultancy work focuses on the fields of garden maintenance and development, roof greening and other aspects of ‘green architecture’.

Tickets are £90 and includes a two-course lunch at Roth Bar & Grill.
