Minimalism: Location Aspect Moment will take place on October 14th-15th. This is a collaboration between the Department of English and Winchester School of Art in conjunction with the John Hansard Gallery. Friday's events will take place at the Winchester Guildhall and on Saturday, we will be based at the University of Southampton's WSA campus.

In addition to 11 exciting panels of talks on literature, art and music, keynotes by Redell Olsen, Renate Wiehager and Keith Potter and a talk by Stephen Foster on Charlotte Posenenske, we're really pleased that there will also be a number of exciting performances, and an exhibition.

William Basinski will play at the Winchester Guildhall on Friday and Vomir will perform on Saturday.

On Saturday, there is to be a minimalist art showcase by WSA staff, students and alumni:

The John Hansard Gallery are sponsoring a wine reception, at which there will be a performance by MOUTH food activist project--this one entitled 'Noumenal Cheese: The Intolerance Banquet'.

The full programme is here:

There's also a Facebook page (The sign up button connects directly to the soton registration portal).

Thanks to the support of the Department of English and WSA, we've been able to set the conference fee for the full event (including all performances) at £50/ £25 (Adjunct/Student/Unwaged). The registration link is here

All are very welcome to attend-- but do make sure to register in advance!
