Wednesday 07 November 2018 – Saturday 08 December 2018
Opening Hours: Mon-Sat, 9am-3pm

Juliet’s practice is research-led with excavated traces interwoven into experimental, creative processes. Memory, gender and the archive are recurring themes, with a desire to look beyond the surface and uncover forgotten or invisible histories of people and place.

Juliet’s dual installation in our historic Cells will commemorate this year’s centenary of Votes for Women. The work pays homage to the dedication and sacrifice of each individual campaigner and the collective impact achieved by the movement, combined with social and personal narratives of remembrance.

From 26 November, Juliet’s exhibition will be joined by Dreadnought’s listening booth, designed to look like a voting booth to remind users of the centenary of the right to vote for some women and accompanied by excerpts from the oral histories collected for the Rebellious Sounds Archive have been loaded on to interactive voting cards.
