This informal and fascinating talk from artist John Huggins will consider the process, context and pleasures of sculpture.

The talk will be supported by Huggins' own plaster originals and related objects, which the audience will be encouraged to handle. The event will offer a rare opportunity to experience the tactile joy of sculptures, as well as their visual appeal. This will also be an exclusive opportunity to view these pieces in this condition, before they are transformed into bronze casts.

The event will consider many aspects of sculpture, from the sources of sculptural ideas and the mysteries of lost wax bronze casting, to the life role of galleries, dealers and exhibitions in a modern market.

All ticket holders will receive a free copy of a beautiful John Huggins book, with another available to buy at a special rate on the day. There will be an opportunity to have these books signed by the artist.
