Based in Lincolnshire, Carol Parker’s Visible Mending project started almost by accident, when her allotment shed got broken into and she had to patch it up with whatever materials she could find. This influenced the idea of visibly mending other items and she began with the idea of postcards.

“The idea was to alter a postcard in some way….tear a small hole, scratch the surface etc and then repair it…” A map accompanied the postcards on their postal journey being added to at each place it landed.
