Hauser & Wirth Somerset and 5×5×5=creativity, an arts-based charity dedicated to supporting children and young people in their exploration and expression of creative ideas, have come together to host a special event for artists working in education.

The event will take place at Hauser & Wirth Somerset, and the setting will provide a platform for artist educators to develop their skills for working with children and young people in creative educational environments.

This event is co-hosted by Penny Hay, artist, Director of 5×5×5=creativity and Senior Lecturer in Arts Education, Bath Spa University and Debbie Hillyerd, Director of Education, Hauser and Wirth Somerset.

Tickets are £10 and include lunch in Roth Bar & Grill, refreshments and resources.

Attendees are invited to submit Pecha Kucha proposals that demonstrate your experience as an artist educator.

Pecha Kucha presentations are a rapid-fire performance of 20 image-rich slides. Each slide shows for exactly 20 seconds before automatically moving to the next. Total presentation time is 6 minutes, 40 seconds. If you would like to be included please submit by 8 June to Debbie Hillyerd at [email protected]

At the end of the event there will be time for further networking and to share your current work and creative practice. You may not wish to give a Pecha Kucha, but you may wish to bring along examples of your projects to share informally at the end.
