Working as an artist in God’s House Tower, Sarah Filmer soon realised that the building's history was exactly that: a HIStory. many people shared her frustrations with the lack of representation of women (related to the building and beyond) through the ages, and as a simple symbolic gesture, she invited them to amass in ght on october 29th 2016, for ‘700 women’, an event centred around collecting herstories.

What a day that was: hundreds of women, men and children came – they wrote HERstories, either their own or those of significant women in their lives; they were photographed and drawn; they performed, watched others performing; they sang, they played ukuleles; they knitted, they made badges; they transformed ght into a vibrant, noisy, sharing, generous, her-story filled womanly space. this day generated fondest memories, as well as much material for future exhibition and sharing.
