Sea Music Project

The Sea Music Project is working with the Heritage Lottery Fund to conserve & celebrate the internationally important art work by Sir Anthony Caro. Sea Music is a unique, site-specific sculpture, installed on Poole Quay in 1991. It was commissioned by Poole Arts Council and gifted by the sculptor to the town, as a thank you as he enjoyed many holidays in the area. As a work of modern art, it has a significant place in Britain's recent artistic and cultural heritage. We will be working with the local community, businesses, schools and other cultural institutions to create an exciting events plan for the 25 year anniversary of the sculpture, that will see the skills and interests of the local community uncovered and celebrated.
