Coombe Farm Studios

Coombe Farm Studios is a rural centre dedicated to growing creativity. Supported by a beautiful environment, great food & people who actively enable the creative process, it’s a place for making & showing work, for meaning-making and for learning.

I feel completely taken care of while working at Coombe, the food, the coffee, the lush environment, and mostly the helpful and talented people who take care of you.  It is a truly special artists retreat.  Laurie Steen RWA

When Coombe opened in 1983, it was one of the first small artist-led centres offering week-long creative courses. Since then, over the past thirty years, we have built up an amazing network of people from all over the globe, and all walks of life and many of them come back each year.

Today we continue to run residential courses year-round in both the UK & abroad (painting, printmaking and ceramics). We also showcase work from professional artists & makers at our on-site gallery, run a weekly yoga class, host creative retreats with partners from a variety of sectors and support the professional development of a wide range of artists.

Our network, the Coombe Creatives, lauched at the end of 2015, is a group of people dedicated to #growingcreativity in the South West. Join us here The Coombe Farm Studios Assocaite Artist scheme was launchd at the beginning of 2016, for the next two years we will work closely with Associates Kate Marshall and Belinda Chapman.
