Chippenham Museum

Housed in a Georgian townhouse, Chippenham Museum tells the fascinating story of this historic Wiltshire market town from its prehistoric origins to the present day.

The museum, a Chippenham Town Council facility, is free to enjoy with two floors of galleries and level access throughout. Learn about the town's development and explore its suprising links to Alfred the Great and Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

Enjoying regularly changing displays in the temporary exhibition gallery and take part in a varied programme of walks, talks and familiy activities. In our Museum Shop find gifts inspired by the Chippenham area or produced by local artists and makers.
