Artists Accessing Empty Spaces Fact Sheet

This  fact sheet has been compiled by Hannah Jones, Exhibitions Officer at Plymouth College of Art with input from Grace Davies , Director, Visual Arts South West, Plymouth Arts Centre and Plymouth City Council, following the Artists Access to Empty Buildings Discussion on 4 February 2015, as part of the South West Showcase exhibition and events programme in The Gallery at Plymouth College of Art.

The event explored ways in which artists and artist led projects access empty spaces. The fact sheet draws together some of the key areas discussed, with the aim of offering advice and guidance for artists hoping to work with empty spaces.

Please note that the fact sheet was designed in Plymouth, and has a particular Plymouth focus, though many aspects of the sheet can be applied elsewhere.
