Based on the concept of a room of requirement, Live Art Local's new popup will be a space for Art, Participation, and Experimentation. It will adapt to the needs of its inhabitants and fulfill a need that is not being met elsewhere.

"We're very excited about this new project," said CEO, Beth Davis-Hofbauer. "It will allow us to provide something for creatives from the region that our current spaces do not fulfill, and enable us to engage the community in new and varied ways".

Launching with an Art Journalling workshop as part of Live Art Local's Get Creative weekend activities, taking place over two venues (Sticks Contemporary in Gosport hosts a family drawing drop-in the previous Saturday) on the 18th March (tickets are free but must be booked in advance through Eventbrite); SPACE will host a series of Artist's Residencies, to begin with, and run regular educational and creative activities; with a Creative Cafe on a Monday morning; book club every Tuesday for home educated children; and SEN Art Club on a Friday.

Live Art Local is open to whatever projects creatives propose for Space so if you have a proposal or an interesting idea, Live Art Local are interested in hearing from you!
