Deadline Monday 20 November 2017

Salary £21 585 - £24 983
Hours 21.9 hours per week, on a fixed term basis until 31 July 2018

We are looking for an experienced designer who has worked in agency or client-side, with the ability to design for print and digital, ideally in an arts environment. You’ll have a portfolio that shows strong creative visual flair, the ability to work within clear brand guidelines and be able to create new concepts to meet the developing needs of Edge Arts and the University.

Used to working in a fast-paced environment, you will create and deliver high quality design deliverables ranging from exhibition branding, to brochures, to advertising, to digital screen posters.

We’re looking for a highly organised team player who is experienced enough to know when a job just needs to happen, but smart enough to know when pushing back will create better results.

You will have:

  • Experience in building documents in Adobe CS applications (for professional print) and MS Office (for use by University staff at their desktops)

  • Excellent knowledge of managing design jobs from creative brief to finished product, ideally in an arts environment

  • Ability to respond to briefs pro-actively and professionally

  • Ability to explain the cost and suitability of the various services and articulate ideas verbally
