Pop in to Mount’s workshop at the historic Silk Mill on Easter Sunday Frome Independent Market, the workshop will be open from 10am – 3pm, with a print stall and nibbles. Mount has worked with an array of artists, galleries and art lovers, including Hauser & Wirth and Black Swan Arts. Framemaker Simon Keyte is known for his daring approach to picture framing. Simon worked on eight 5”x7” frames for Anita Taylor (Bath Spa University, Jerwood Drawing Prize, Drawing Projects UK). “A total of 176m of wood, 133 square meters of sheet material (acrylic, foam board, backing etc), 72m of 25mm spacer. Counting each prep, paint and wax coat I've covered the equivalent of 576m of wood. All in 8 frames,” says Simon. The framed work is showing at the Young Gallery in Salisbury until March 30th.
