The Quarter Club is an open network, designed as a space for women who think and/or work creatively to get together, find inspiration and make positive change. Each Quarter, we host a "Salon" event on the given theme - so far we've had Courage, Balance, Satisfaction, Decision and Power. For each Salon, we invite a handful of women who are doing remarkable things to come and speak for 5 minutes on the theme - the idea being that they kick-start a conversation in the room.

We're really excited to be hosting our first ever Bristol Salon on 16th October at the Bristol Old Vic. It's a really inspiring line-up - we can't wait!

The confirmed speakers are:

EMMA STENNING, Chief Executive, Bristol Old Vic @Schtanhaus

CHINOYEREM ODIMBA, Playwright @chino100percent

TARA JUDAH, Writer, programmer, broadcaster @midnightmovies

LIZ CHEGE, Programmer, founding member Come The Revolution @elchronicle

DAME LIZ FORGAN, Former Journalist, director of Programmes at Channel 4, Managing Director of BBC Network Radio. Current Chair of National Youth Orchestra & The Guardian Foundation. Deputy Chair of The British Museum. Trustee of The Art Fund & the Landmark Trust.

After the speakers we open up the room to free flowing conversation (no stuffy Q&As here please – we ask our speakers to kick-start a dialogue in the room, and to stick around for discussion afterwards). There’s even a Speak Easy space, where anyone can get up and speak on the theme. You can sign up on the night, or beforehand by dropping jo a line (

Tickets include a glass of prosecco and nibbles.
