Aspex is delighted to present their October Half Term workshops, inspired by all things Halloween!

On offer are activities for all ages, taking place throughout the week of Half Term. Activities include book-making, storytelling and monster making!

All sessions will take place in the gallery’s new Learning Space, led by Aspex’s team of staff and volunteers, as well local artists.

Holiday Art Club: Crafting Spell Books

25 October (10am - 3pm)
8 - 11 years

In this Halloween-inspired workshop we’ll be making spell books filled with potions, curses and spells! Participants will be supplied with all of the materials to design and create their own bespoke book, dye the pages and write their own unique spells!

Booking is available via our Eventbrite page, over the phone or at the gallery!

As part of our Halloween Special we’ll be creating monsters of all shapes and sizes!

Join local illustrator Jordan Baines (Ohh So Curious Illustration) to make unique artwork, inspired by the traditional Mexican festival ‘Day of the Dead’!

Experiment with a variety of artistic techniques (from painting to stamping) to prepare yourself for Halloween!

We’ll be taking inspiration from the ‘Big Scary Monster’, a book all about a misunderstood beastie who loves to jump out and surprise his friends!
