In December 2014, Brugera announced her intention to provide an open, uncensored platform for citizens in Havana to freely express their views in public for one minute. Before the performance took place, she was arrested and held for treason. Her imprisonment lasted eight months.

Within days of her release Brugera returned to the United States and visited psychiatrist Dr. Frank Ochberg, renowned expert on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Stockholm Syndrome. Tania Libre, a new film by artist and filmmaker Lynn Hershman Leeson, documents Brugera’s story through these intimate and profound conversations.

CAST Café food from 6.30pm, something hot and something sweet for £6.50.

Programme curated by Kelly Taylor.
